Due to the writing style of H.D. Carlton I had put this on my tbr. So I am going to say this, PLEASE CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ For me triggers are non existent (yes maybe I’m a bit fucked up
This is my favorite H.D. Carlton book. Mako is just sooo dreamy and lovable. Rivers story is so heartbreaking but also relatable. I don’t want to spoil anything but I will say Ryan is pure trash. If you have read and liked any of her other books you’ll love this one too.

If you love a romance that’s more than just surface-level and aren’t afraid of a little emotional wreckage along the way, this one’s worth picking up.
