설명
1966 Mystery Writers of America Anthology
Forward from Thomas B. Dewey:
"THIS COLLECTION OF TALES of mystery and suspense, of sudden terror and, now and then, sudden laughter, has been gleaned from the works of the best writers in an ancient and honorable and still fertile field. Some of them have familliar, long-established names; some are newcommers. All of them have the skill and talent to curdle your blood, tickle your scalp and delight your fancy, separately or simultaneously.
The harvesting was a pleasure, mixed with agony that so many good stories had to be left out. Those that were finally included are yours to enjoy. They make up a book to browse in, or to read from cover to cover, either backward or forward, according to your mood. Wherever you start, the mystery writers of America challenge you: Try to stop before you read the end. Just try!"

Bloch, Robert, The Scent of Terror
