If one thing kristin hannah can do its making you feel for the characters. She takes you into their lives of the characters and you feel like you are part of them. It's a beautiful book with heartbreak and hope.
3.75 ☆'s I usually love this authors books but I didn't feel this one was up there as one of her best. The storyline's message of love, forgiveness, family and growth still came across well but I wasn't feeling the timeline on this one, I also wasn't keen on the character of Ruby. I struggled to understand how someone so full of hatred for a parent for many years, arrange to cash in on their downfall publicly, but then could have such an about turn in less than a week. It did have my eyes watering towards the end, although this was because of a subplot within the story, rather than the main one. This was still a nice story just not as strong as the author's more recent works.
