The Calling

At the age of 15, Jacquelyn Montgomery thought she had her life all figured out. Bonding herself to her long-time boyfriend, Trevor Harris, seemed the only option to take. Late at night, by the river, calling on forces they didn’t understand, they never expected a darker force to be awakened.

Their perfect fairy tale beginning darkened until Jacquelyn could see only one way out. She had to flee, leaving behind everything except a small wooden box of her biggest regrets and most tragic experiences.
Nine years after leaving behind her old life, her past has come full circle. His voice is in her head- calling to her, begging her to return. She has no choice but to heed his plea or go insane.

Determined to put an end to bonds that chain her to the past, she’s not expecting the emotions or complications that her return inspires. Will she stick to her plan or is the truth more powerful than her pain?
