The Rosary Killer:

Join BPD's Detectives Matt and Gary in their hunt for a serial killer loose on the streets of Boston. Who's next? When will the madness end? These are just two of the myriad questions that you, along with Matt and Gary, will be asking-and you won't want to miss the unexpected ending! Jennifer Morris graduated from White Pines College (New Hampshire) and Salem State (Massachusetts) with a degree in communications. Though currently working as a chef, she still freelances for several publications. A lifelong resident of South Boston, she still resides there. "The Rosary Killer is Jennifer Morris' first foray into classic detective fiction; fans of the hard-boiled will be thrilled to discover this burgeoning writer. The Rosary Killer contains all the classic elements of the hard-boiled, from the tough-but-sensitive detectives, the gory murder(s), to brisk dialogue and attention to accurate police procedures. Detectives Doherty and Mitchell are both well-developed characters, seemingly resigned to the difficulties and everyday tragedies of their jobs, although they both become more real, in-depth characters as we discover their families and get a glimpse of their histories. We gain a real insider's look at a seamier side of Boston, from the over-bright marquee signs to the sparely lit motels. But, the action never takes a backseat to the action. As the clues start turning up, you will think you have a real handle on motivations-but then one body will just refuse to fit the pattern! Like the best whodunnits, all the clues will keep you guessing. Morris' straightforward style and hard-hitting plot make this one a page turner!" -Nancy A. Lindley-Gauthier, author of Offshore Threat.
