설명
In the enchanting realm of Elfhame, the echoes of a past filled with intrigue and danger resonate as a runaway queen seeks to forge her own destiny. Torn between the weight of her royal identity and a longing for freedom, she embarks on a journey fraught with peril and unexpected alliances. The world around her, a tapestry of magic and treachery, challenges her every step, testing her resolve and forcing her to confront the shadows of her past.
Alongside her is a reluctant prince, grappling with his own expectations and the burden of his heritage. His heart battles against a preordained path, and as their destinies entwine, the duo must navigate a landscape populated by old enemies and ancient secrets. The stakes escalate when their quest reveals not only the fragility of Elfhame itself but the deeper truths about love and loyalty.
As danger looms larger, their bond deepens, but with it comes the risk of losing everything they hold dear. In a world where betrayal lurks in the shadows, the pair must decide what sacrifices they are willing to make for freedom and love, potentially altering the fate of Elfhame forever.

And with this book I completed my very shy reading challenge :) It took some time to get used to the fact that Oak is not a child anymore.I felt so sorry for most of the characters. For Oak and his never ending guilt and desire to keep his family safe even if it meant putting himself at risk over and over again. And for Ren who couldn't grasp the smallest idea that someone could love her and see her behind her looks. Her self esteem was so low, I was really struggling at times. Her history was so sad and gut-punching.
