4 starsIt gets better. It never gets easy, but it does start to hurt a little less.This book is only 173 pages and I really enjoyed all 173 pages of it. It was so magical, yet so creepy. I loved the whole concept of the book. I didn't care that it was 173 pages, I wish there was more, but I still loved it. All the characters were amazing, the diversity and the representation was so good, hands down amazing! I loved all the characters, especially Jack. In such a short book the world building was really interesting amd it got straight to the point, at times it did tend to be a little confusing. I actually really liked the murder mystery element of the book as well, that added a bit of suspense, although it was quite obvious. The writing style was so good as well, I loved it a lot. I can't wait to read the second book.Edit: 3.5 stars
