Beschrijving
It is Mark Twain's work composed for 10 years in his twilight year. Based on the stories in Bible, the writer illustrates the romantic legend of the first couple of humankind with fresh writing style and diary form. Adhering to his style, it accumulates deepness and wise into humor and simplicity, so fantastic. As it is commented by Lu Xun, 'it is merely a sketch but reveals human's weak points in naïve and ridicule in narration.' In addition, the work combines Mark Twain's deep grief for Olivia Louise Langdon, his wife, sincere and moving. The sentence Wheresoever she was, there was Eden at the end has long aftertaste.
