Beschrijving

In a modern-day twist on the classic "Beauty and the Beast," a young man named Kyle Kingsbury finds himself transformed into a grotesque creature after making a reckless choice rooted in vanity and arrogance. As a punishment for his superficiality, he is cursed to live as a beast, masked by his monstrous appearance. Isolated and shunned by society, he grapples with his new identity and yearns for redemption.

Amid his struggle, hope emerges in the form of Lindy, a girl whose spirit may just be the key to breaking the curse. As Kyle learns to navigate life as a beast, the story unfolds with a mix of poignant moments and reflections on true beauty, love, and the power of second chances. Through his journey, Kyle discovers that true transformation comes from within, igniting a profound moment of self-discovery and the realization that appearances are just the surface of who we truly are.

A modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast from Beast's perspective.I truly like it.It feels strange, but I already miss reading it.Reading it in less than two days is kind of record for me.I like the references to Jane Eyre,Hunchback and other books. The chatroom parts were sort of interesting and new for me.Although I like the book,in the first place I couldn't like the main character,Kyle. He was a dirty guy who deserved what he got. However, after a while I started to not hate him,and I just tolerate him.I have one complaint, though.I know this book is YA, But it seems to me it is a bit soon to find true love at 15. It's just an idea any way.I have some other complaints, but I just ignore them ,because I enjoy reading this book.
