Dark as Night

A sous-chef at a first-rate downtown restaurant, Morris White is on the verge of finally escaping the poor Philly neighborhood and petty crime that defined his past. His talent is evident, the restaurant is first-rate, and he’s having an affair with Vicky, the wealthy manager of the joint. Only thing that could derail his climb is Morris's half-brother, Vince Kammer, who is about to get out of Graterford Prison.

Vince may have done the time, but the crime is far from behind him. Soon Morris is forced to choose between blood and ambition to escape the clutches of his past. His job in jeopardy, his new relationship on the rocks, his dream in question, Morris is asked to do one last job to save them all, and free himself from his hometown roots, which unlike the crisp, bright white linens of the restaurant, are black as hell and dark as night.
