Beschrijving

Recensies
Bekijk AllesOKAY OKAY OKAY. SO HERE WE GO. i Knew the plot was going to amp up in this book, since this is the halfway mark of the series, and BOY WAS I CORRECT.i'm still not a huge fan of how lucia's character is being handled and i am even less of a fan of how ashur and amara are being handled. lucia's handling is just personal preference, but with amara and ashur, it's bordering on racism: they're the only two people of color in this entire series and they're protrayed as conniving and manipulative, while also being overly sexualized.that being said, i am really really enjoying the slow burn romance that's happening between magnus and cleo a lot more than i thought i was going to. i still think it's stupid that every man falls all over cleo (clearly she's the author's self-insert), but i also relate to cleo (despite looking like lucia), so i don't mind quite as much as i did originally lol.the ending of this book was shocking, though there was One thing that happened that i thought was a bit rushed and maybe could've waited to happen until the next book or something, but other than that (and the racism), i'm really into this series and i'm eager to see what happens next.
