Light and Flame

I am really enjoying Sera and Nyktos' story...possibly even more than Poppy's! Their chemistry and the tension kept me completely invested, and I found myself eager to see where their relationship would go next. I'm waiting with bated breath for Nyktos to drop the L bomb regardless of what he's done. That said, I'm running into some of the same issues I had with other books in this world. There is a tremendous amount of character development and emotional growth happening, but at times it feels like the story is moving in circles. The same fears, doubts, and conversations are revisited so often that the plot starts to slow.I still had a great time reading and was thoroughly entertained, but I couldn't shake the feeling that much more of the overall story could have been accomplished within this book alone. All in all, Sera and Nyktos continue to be fascinating characters, and their story has me invested enough that I'll absolutely keep reading to see what happens next.

Emotionally damaged after that, I fear. Despite the rollercoaster of emotions, I loved it and need more.
