Life and love are always better at the beach…
Sophie Ward is an introverted scientist with a serious case of lust for the gorgeous, tattooed Chief of Security at her research institute in San Diego. But despite the encouragement of her best friend, Sophie has never had the guts to ask the sexy surfer out.
Chris Riley is a man who knows what he wants...and it’s the adorable scientist he can’t stop thinking about. But personal circumstances have forced him into the frustrating role of a “work friend,” and now he’s desperate for Sophie to see him as something more.
When a mishap finally brings their mutual attraction out into the open, the scorching intensity of their desire is enough to burn them to ash. But will they be able to make something of the wreckage when Chris’s past rears its ugly head? Or will they lose the best thing they’ve ever found?
