The main game arises from the hunt for the hidden gold of Gull Island. Five pirate captains find the secret of the treasure's location when they stumble on a map. The race becomes a relay and readers can guess which team gets there first There are also a dozen individual puzzles to solve which lead the reader around the whole book for hours of fun; plus a spotting game, with more than 30 real-life pirates hidden throughout the book for the reader to search out. This search-and-solve puzzle book introduces map-reading and route-finding skills as well as the concepts of coordinates and compass points.
