*** I was gifted a copy to review for the Release Event Book Tour, and this is my honest opinion***This is Book 2 in the Boomerang Series and I have not read the first book, but this did not hinder my enjoyment, This story centres around Alison and The Boss of Boomerang Adam Blackwood. One the surface his life looks perfect, but underneath he has a secret he has worked hard to keep buried for 4 years. He has plans to expand into the film industry, so he is in talks a business tycoon to get the capital for the project. Alison Quick is the daughter the tycoon and she’s been in her fathers bad books after nearly crashing out of Uni after breaking up with her ex Ethan (Yes 'The' same Ethan from Book 1)Before the first Business meeting Alison is going to a Halloween Party to check out Adam and the Other Boomerang Executives, who have been invited and for moral her BFF Phillipe has made her a Rocking Catwoman Costume, but he sews her in! (Zips not his favourite thing!) being in disguise gives Alison courage to mingle and get to know these people whom she will be working with soon. Trying hard not to feel odd at seeing her Ex with his new love Mia, she decides to try and enjoy the party.One particular guest 'Zorro' magnetizes her and she decides to give in to temptation and have some fun... And Zorro has the same idea.Sparks fly but just before things get too out of hand, they are interrupted their real identity's are uncovered. Can Alison and her team of accountants work with Adam and the Boomerang staff, who are wary of their intentions. Alison has been told by her father that she needs to dig up all she can about the Illusive Boss of Boomerang, but who will she listen too? Her father or her blossoming feelings she has for Adam.This book is about two people learning to forgive their past mistakes and to realise that together they can have a happy ever after. The path to that will have a few bumps in the road, thanks to Alison's controlling father.Will earning her father’s approval come at the price of losing her first real love? well I would say grab the book and read it to find out if love can conquer all.I think this series will be quite a good one to follow, all the characters are well developed with interesting quirks to make a group dynamic that you want to know more of, I really enjoyed the "Team Building trip scenes". The writers have created a book that is interesting, has a mix both light and emotional aspects and a storyline that makes you want sit back, relax and get lost in a book.My favourite pastime.
