Sal's Red Sock: Level 2

In this story, Dad has to pick up Nan, but he has not got his sock. Sal has a red sock, but will it fit Dad? Controlled vocabulary is expanded through four levels, following the popular "Letters and Sounds" phonics scheme from Phase 2 to Phase 4, building up from simple CVC words (level 1) to double letter sounds (level 2), two letter graphemes (level 3), and adjacent consonants (level 4). A simple puzzle encourages children to spot the rhyming words and an Espresso Connections section suggests further activities on Espresso Education.
