General James K. Matson rushes to his control center at the United States Strategic & Tactical Interdiction Keeper of Eagle Command (USSTRIKECOM) HQ, where he directs unified combat commands of Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Forces around the world. In a fast-paced 18 hours, he must fend off a coordinated effort to destroy his sensitive installation by a coalition of terrorists, renegade governments and Russia. The enemy forces intend to destroy America’s ability to direct its forces, and then to rain down nuclear missiles on the United States and its worldwide military installations.

Roger Edwards is an imbedded American terrorist. His mission is to sabotage the alternate airborne command post—AWACS aircraft—and to plant a bomb in Matson’s command post ninety feet beneath STRIKECOM Headquarters.

Captain David Phelton is in charge of public affairs and must keep a lid on the developing crisis. But his focus falters when he learns that Lieutenant Colonel “Lucky” Larson is stalking his wife, Cheydan.

Though officially retired, a few of the valiant SR-71 Blackbirds covertly serve in CIA black ops. In addition, pilots in Colorado overfly combat operations in the Middle East with Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs). And cutting-edge nano technology “insects” are flying worldwide. The mechanical houseflies have all the capabilities of UAVs, including audio video spyware and a deadly “bite.”
