Beschrijving

A mysterious and enchanting circus appears one fateful night, captivating all who encounter it. Known simply as Le Cirque des Rêves, this magical spectacle is more than just a showcase of wonders; it serves as the backdrop for a fierce and intricate competition between two young illusionists, Celia and Marco. As they are bound by an extraordinary challenge, the circus becomes a living entity, filled with whimsical tents and astonishing acts that enchant visitors and blur the lines between reality and illusion.

Amidst the unfolding rivalry, the lives of various characters intertwine, each drawn into the circus's magical realm where anything is possible. The plot weaves together themes of love, fate, and sacrifice, as the stakes of their duel rise higher and higher. With a richly imaginative setting and lyrical prose, the journey through this wondrous world promises not only to mesmerize its audience but to reveal deeper truths hidden within the heart of the night.

It is very slow-paced book i personally didn't like it

Really not for me at all, unfortunately. I think it's painfully clear this was a NaNoWriMo project in that the word count seems like it was the only goal. The plot just didn't make sense e.g..the purpose of the game, the motivations behind it etc... I saw another review that described it as a story about a colour scheme and "vibes", which I'd agree with. The characters were one-dimensional and bland. I previously tried reading the Starless Sea and didn't get far, so I'm admitting defeat and will avoid any future works.

I'm not even sure what to say about this book. It wasn't at all what I expected. There is a bit of vagueness to the story, which I really enjoyed.
