Beschrijving

In the heart of a harsh winter in 1460, a young nun finds herself unexpectedly thrust into a world of peril and intrigue. As the icy dawn breaks, she wanders far from the safety of her priory, facing not only the biting cold but the dangers that lurk in the shadows of a tumultuous landscape. Her isolation becomes a crucible for her spirit, forcing her to confront both the physical and emotional challenges that lie ahead.

As she embarks on her unplanned journey, the nun encounters a host of complex characters: devoted allies, mysterious strangers, and those with hidden agendas. Each interaction pushes her to question her beliefs and the rules that have defined her life. The stark contrast between her sheltered existence and the harsh realities of the world around her challenges her faith and resolve, compelling her to seek a deeper understanding of her purpose.

With each step of her pilgrimage, the young nun not only navigates the fierce winter's grip but also embarks on an inner voyage of self-discovery. Through trials and tribulations, she learns that her journey transcends the physical; it is an exploration of freedom, faith, and the enduring strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

Recensies

Bekijk Alles

Very god, But note the rating. Conn Iggulden's WOTR series is earmarked for the future and maybe worthy of that 5 star score. However there are faults: Thomas and Katherine's ideas of geography and politics are non existent, R[ven's motive for the attack is pointless and his changing sides is confusing. Anyone listening to this book better do some background reseatch.
