ข้าคือตำนาน พิฆาตมหากาฬ

For my first ever book, I really enjoyed this and I would recommend it to everyone

4.5 stars. Thoroughly enjoyed this book, my only issue is I wish it was longer!

A timeless classic! A great cross over between the horror & Sci- Fi genres and very influential in the development of the zombie genre while being an insight into human loneliness.

This is soooo much better than the show and I’m honestly so damn pissed on the changes. Like in other adaptations i will go “omg the novel is so much better” in an annoying way but for this i will shout it forever. I hate the changes that they made in 2000’s movie. Like I honestly feel this should be a remake and be done as a series this time. They water down Roberts character but in this oh shit he is so great. His character is so much more complex and everything.

3.5 Stars;I liked the in world science explanation behind the cause of the virus and the end world development as it was particularly unique even after decades since the original stories publication. It reads a little slow and there's licks of old world misogyny sprinkled in rather consistently.

⭐️⭐️⭐️The movie outshines the book, but the story has moments that linger. I could feel Robert’s crushing loneliness, despair, and fear—hunting by day for answers and survival, then trapped at night while monsters waited outside. I didn’t connect with him personally, and I wish there had been more on the plague’s origin, his supposed immunity, and the new vampire society.

Love the macrabe that is Matheson. His short stories after the short novel were a complete surprise, but I lapped them up much more quickly than I wished and they were done before I knew it.
