Opis
'Stars, hide your fires! Let not light see my black and deep desires.' William Shakespeare, Macbeth (Act I, Scene IV)
Former lovers reunite to stage a play. A pharmaceutical company plots to exploit the third world. A hippopotamus develops a drug habit. A girl spends a rainy Tuesday night with her stalker.
Is it better to shed light on our darkest secrets or let them smoulder within? Some may flicker and die with time, but others, if we're not careful, may go up in flames.
Hide Your Fires is the 26th collection from the creative writing program at the University of Technology, Sydney.
