Made me feel relaxed, was such an easy read and Takako reminded me a lot of my best friend
Fui ler sem muitas expectativas e eu amei. Uma leitura tranquila, aconchegante e tão, tão gostosa de ler. Foi muito boa mesmo essa história.
This one just didn't hit. I did not like most of the characters and I struggled to find the point of the story at the end.
This is a lovely little book. I have to admit I usually stay away from books that are about books. But this little one appealed to me and I really do love Japanese fiction. It feels like that is a similar sort of style to most Japanese fiction I read, in that it is very calm and clean feeling. Maybe it is just the choice of works we get translated into the UK tend to be the same sort of feeling?

I found the second half weaker, as it made me detach from the characters and their story since there was a lack of emotional depth.𝑻𝑳;𝑫𝑹Overall, this is a short slice-of-life literary fiction that feels like a healing session. As the protagonist rediscovers herself through the beauty of books, coffee, and peaceful bookstores, the writing makes you want to experience it yourself—quiet afternoons, warm nights, books and coffee, and the cozy vibes. It was a very charming book to slowly build up my reading habit, loved the multiple lives it involved that isn't just on the main character. It was simply beautiful.
