“I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars.”WOW I haven't read this book in like 9-10 years. I used to be a Twihard and I remember being so insanely obsessed with these books and also the movies. To be completely honest, I thought I would hate it because of all the books I've read that have been way better than Twilight, but it was ok re reading it again. 3/4 of the book were pretty cheesy and sappy I must admit. Some parts were boring where I just skimmed through it. The minor characters were so much better than Bella, Edward and Jacob combined. I think it was just the movie which made this book look laughable.
The story was okay. I think there were quite a few continuity mistakes where in the rewrite, the name or gender not has been changed everywhere the should. This annoyed me quite a bit.I think Edythe and Beau's story was okay. It was interesting, and the ending was fine but a bit hasty, in my opinion. Too much happened in the last few chapters. I would have liked a few more chapters so the ending could have had more details. I know she meant for the language to be less flowery, but I sometimes missed a bit more description sometimes.I read Twilight a long time ago and liked it. I still think it is a good story, and I am excited to actually reread the series at some point.The rating is based on the story: life and death.
