Na de manier waarop zij mij gekwetst heeft, heb ik mezelf één belofte ik zal nooit meer mijn hart op het spel zetten.
Blijkbaar hield ze van me, maar dat weerhield haar er niet van om te doen wat ze deed. En eerlijk gezegd heb ik het gehad met relaties en met het zoeken naar liefde als die mij niet wil vinden.
Na de klap die ik vorig seizoen heb gekregen, ben ik van plan om me te richten op revalidatie en om mijn aandacht weer te vestigen op het spel waar ik al zoveel jaren van houd. Ik heb geen afleiding nodig en ik heb geen behoefte aan een andere vrouw in mijn bed of in mijn hoofd.
Maar ik had haar zonneschijn niet verwacht en ik was niet voorbereid op de manier waarop Luna Johnson mijn hart is binnengedrongen en het heeft ontdooid.
Ik probeer me tegen haar te verzetten, omdat ik weet dat dit slecht zal aflopen — ze is een van mijn oudste vriendinnen en dat moet zo blijven. Maar man, wat voel ik me tot haar aangetrokken en hoe meer contact we hebben, hoe meer ik het geluk voel dat al zo lang in mijn leven ontbreekt.
Luna wil meer. En verdomme, ik wil haar alles geven en niet alleen de gebroken stukjes die ik te bieden heb — want dat verdient ze.
Was ik maar niet zo bang om weer gekwetst te worden of, erger nog, haar mee naar beneden te trekken. Er zijn mensen in mijn leven die alles behalve willen dat ik mijn happy end vind. En ik weet dat ze niet schromen om Luna pijn te doen om mij te raken.
Ik had mezelf ervan overtuigd dat ik nooit de ware zou vinden en dat heb ik langzamerhand ook geaccepteerd.
Maar misschien is mijn hart deze keer veilig en kan ik de liefde weer een kans geven?
Als het met iemand zal zijn, dan moet het wel met Luna Johnson zijn.

Zac and Luna were super cute and healing for each other and I loved that they focussed on building each other up! These two faced their fair share of challenges with some that nearly tore them apart but in the and their love was strong enough to give them their HEA.I loved that these two knew each other when they went to school so they got to see the other grow up and become almost entirely new people as adults and yet still love and care for each other and nurture each others passions. This one was super cute and I loved it.
Ok what can I say but this book is absolutely STUNNING! I loved this book from the very first page to the last. There is nothing bad about this book. The love and the relationship that grows between Zach and Luna is beautiful. Showing both of their struggles as they watch their relationship grow and work out if they can be together in some way. The difficulty for Zach with his previous injury and his hurt from his previous relationship with Amie. I love Zachs caring side and Lunas beautiful quirky personality (just you wait until you read her you will be chuckling) All I can say without spoiling it and telling you all of it! 🤣Now run and read this right now.
