Cambridge Signorelli Dictionary

This new and comprehensive desk edition dictionary is aimed principally at users who are already familiar with Italian and at native Italian speakers. It has been produced by Casa Editrice Carlo Signorelli S.p.A. of Milan, in conjunction with Cambridge University Press. The editor of the Cambridge Italian Dictionary, Barbara Reynolds, has supervised the editing. This Cambridge-Signorelli Dictionary has a total of 429,000 entries, including 2,400 proper names, 2,100 place names and 3,900 acronyms. A wide range of technical and scientific terms has been added (botanical and zoological taxonomy, Latin species names etc.) and both British and American spelling are given where appropriate. Clearly laid out for easy reference, an important feature of the dictionary is its generous and readable typeface.
