Cashing Up

Jack works night-shift as a security guard at a large department store. He lives at home with his domineering mother, who makes his life a misery. Jack is bored with life, lonely and in need of excitement. He spends his spare time tinkering with gadgets that he makes and picking locks – just for the fun of it. After meeting a new neighbour, Jean – a single parent, struggling to survive on state benefits and with a young son to bring up, he decides he has to do something to turn his life around (And increase his bank balance by a couple of million pounds). Worried that his security guard’s wage won’t support his newfound family, he conjures up a plan to rob the store of its Christmas takings and to disappear to Spain with Jean. He spends his night-shifts working out his plan, tackling problems as they arise and figuring out how to steal the money. When he decides to tell Jean, everything changes. With a woman now at the helm, combined with Jack’s clever criminal mind, their adventure unfolds.
