Explorers is an eight- level reading scheme written specifically for young learners of English. Informed by the National Literacy Strategy and by teaching methodology for first language speakers of English, Explorers is supported by an understanding of the needs of young learners and teachers of English. The scheme, which currently has 64 titles, can be used alongside any primary course. Kay and Gerda are best friends. But one day Kay meets the Snow Queen who carries him away to here snow palace. Gerda must go after Kay and rescue him - but it will be a long and dangerous journey.
