First Team

What do you do when your team leader is not a team player? Bob Ferguson leads a team of highly skilled operator designed to react quickly to unconventional threats to the US, like a shipment of radioactive waste that’s just gone missing inside the former Soviet Union. They need support from the US intelligence community and possibly the armed forces, but they move so quickly they often leave the org chart behind. This presents a problem, and the President appoints Corrine Alston, his counsel, to oversee the Team’s activities. Corrine is not an “operator,” but she’s smart and persistent and will need to be if she’s going to work with Ferg and his “Joint Special Services” team. And he needs her, not only to be his boss and link back to the US government, but to find out who has taken the radioactive waste and their plan for its use. As fast as the First Team can move, their enemy has his own timetable.
