->4.5 starsThis trilogy has been on my TBR for quite some time and I have finally picked it up. Though it was only unread as I have a fear of 5star predictions because I can only read it for the first time once.This book had everything I needed in a book right now.I have been having an issue with fantasy with romance sub plots, being mid. Thankfully, I was fully invested in this fantasy plot line for once and adored it. I loved the magic system, the lore, the premise and the writing.It did take me a bit to get used to the timeline jumps but after that it was smooth sailing and I loved this. My actual only quip is this book felt a little longer than it needed to be.As for all the people complaining about how sex positive and sexually charged this book is, I disagree, firstly the age of the characters makes sense for it, and secondly, I didn't even notice as much as people are complaining about. That could say more about me though.33I am super excited to read book 2!!->4.5 stars
