Thank you NetGalley and publisher for opportunity to read and review this arc honestly. I absolutely loved this book. It has all the emotions. I don’t usually tear up at books but there are a few spots my eyes got a little damp. The story was well done and I felt like I was there with the characters. Well definitely recommend to others!
I enjoyed the facial blurriness aspect (can't remember the technical term). It brought an interesting aspect to the romance and overall journey of the characters. The ending was hilarious! After not liking "The Bodyguard", I didn't hate this book.
I'm usually the person who'll yell at the characters "Come oooon, just talk to each other and clear the misunderstanding" and get pissed when they don't. And this usually leads to me not liking books with this kind of trope. But this was such a sweet read. The premise was interesting and I feel like it was utilized well in the book. Her emotions felt very natural and real and reading the story was such a relaxing experience. It felt really cathartic, in a weird way. The only thing that sort of took me out of the story (and that's a shame) was the entire last chapter. It felt a bit like it was spoon-feeding us all the information, like the author felt she had to specifically, on paper, close every parenthesis she had opened in the book. I enjoyed this book a lot in spite of that, but I think sometimes the author needs to trust their readers that they can come to some conclusions by themselves.
Loved the representation in this book! Katherine usually has at least one character repping a disability or condition or something of some sort, but this was more central to the book. I loved it!
