Opis

Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous 1970s, this poignant narrative delves into the tragic events at Kent State University, where the lives of students were irrevocably altered. The author captures the climate of unrest and tumult that gripped the nation, as young activists protested against the Vietnam War. Through vivid storytelling, readers are drawn into the emotional weight of loss and the haunting question of accountability.

The narrative weaves together the perspectives of individuals affected by the tragedy, painting a rich tapestry of grief, resilience, and the fight for justice. Their voices resonate with timeless themes of courage and responsibility, urging reflection on the consequences of political decisions. This exploration not only remembers those who fell that day but also serves as a critical examination of the societal impact of violence and conflict.

Ultimately, it challenges readers to confront difficult truths about history while inspiring a renewed commitment to peace and understanding. This powerful work compels us to remember, to learn, and to understand the complexities of a generation that sought to change the world.

Historia

Interesting format to tell the story. I liked getting multiple sides, especially the less considered ones. It doesn't make it right, just interesting insight

2.5...This book honestly left me with more questions than answers. I did enjoy the verse format with so many different voices but I felt like there wasn't enough information presented overall.
