Laid After Dark

Laid After Dark is a Jefferson After Dark short story by Airicka Phoenix. The story is a fast based and steamy story between Saera and August, her brother’s best friend, a promise she made for him when they were children. Though the story was fast based, it didn’t feel too hurried at any point. There was just the right amount of spice with the story that kept me entertained from the beginning to the very end. I felt kiddy while reading their connection and bantering. I loved that even though the story was short there were so many nicknames that August had for Saera. This book gets 4 out of 5 stars from me, and I recommend it to everyone who wants to have something short but spicy to read.
