Lighthouse at Ruby Crest

Alexandria Bentley finds her safe, secure world crumbling down around her when her young husband dies and she must revive her career as a newspaper reporter to keep her daughter in college. She takes a job at an obscure newspaper in Ruby Crest and immerses herself in her first assignment—to write a series of articles on the unsolved murder of the wife of the town’s most powerful and wealthy citizen. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into one of the most intriguing stories of her career. As if directed by fate, a Ruby Crest newspaper finds its way into the hands of Luke Whittaker, an old flame, and when he learns Alex is recently widowed, Luke contacts her and the two share a much needed friendship. Alex’s search for answers involving the death of Lilly Parker only seems to yield more questions. Deepening the mystery is the undeniable presence of someone watching it all—someone who has chosen Alex as the next victim.
