Opis

The last two books in my award-winning Lonesome Lawmen series!

Byte Me and Missing You.

About Byte Me:

A lawmen meets his perfect match. Too bad she's a high tech thief.

Deputy US Marshal Jake Kirby is a top tracker, who always get his fugitive. Now he's hot on the trail of a gang of cyber thieves with an unusual agenda. That trail takes him to Colorado and a country and western bar managed by the sexy, mysterious Phoebe Mentel. Instant attraction quickly complicates this high tech chess game between two people who don't know how to lose and are afraid to fall in love.

"Ms. Jones makes a large splash with each new book and Byte Me is no exception. The intricate plot and compelling characters make this a nail-biting read." Romantic Times Magazine (now RT Book Reviews)

About Missing You:

A lonely lawman finds love again. If only she could remember her name...

Denver Homicide detective Luke Kirby is looking for some peace and quiet when he heads up to the family cabin in the mountains near Long's Peak. Instead he finds trouble. A beautiful and mysterious woman has taken refuge in his cabin as a storm moves in. She's lost her memory but not the trouble on her trail.

While Luke tries to figure out who she is, his brothers also need his help with a murder and a missing secret military project. The brothers Kirby must join forces when the tangled threads of their various troubles begin to merge...

"This rounds out the marvelous Lonesome Lawmen trilogy. The wonderful characters from the previous books are back, making this a truly exciting, engaging read! Talented author Pauline Baird Jones' star is on the rise!" Romantic Times (Now RT Book Reviews)

So I wrote this book called The Last Enemy. It wasn't meant to be a series, but I happened to give Matt a couple of brothers. I liked the story. I liked the brothers. And they needed some romance in their lives. So Byte Me and then Missing You followed somewhat on the heels of The Last Enemy. The first time I bundled the books together, I wrote Lonesome Mama, to give readers something more. And some closure for the whole series. I mean, I like to pop in check on characters, see them doing well, being happy together.

Fast forward a few years. My publisher passes away. Her business partner closes the company. My books become orphans. But this time (yes, it has happened before) there is the option to independent publish, the opportunity to bundle my books for people who maybe bought one book, so they don't want to buy the complete bundle.

If you've read all of my Lonesome Lawmen, there is more romantic suspense in my backlist. I've also got some humorous romantic suspense. One is a sort of mini-series. There's a novel called Do Wah Diddy Die. And I throw in a couple more stories in my Mystery Collection. And my very first novel EVER, was The Spy Who Kissed Me (originally called Pig in a Park).

My back list also includes some science fiction romance. There's a time travel to World War II called Out of Time. And another series (also unplanned, but fun to write) called Project Enterprise. There are five books in the series and a short story collection: The Key, Girl Gone Nova, Tangled in Time, Steamrolled, and Kicking Ashe. The short story collection is called Project Enterprise: The Short Stories.
