I liked that both characters were dealing with very real struggles, and yet the story kept things light and charming without ignoring the emotional undercurrents. The magical tea/potion element was cute and added just enough whimsy to keep the “enemies-to-lovers” dynamic from feeling too familiar. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was rooting for them because of the potion or in spite of it, which I think was kind of the point. And the banter? Surprisingly sweet, with just enough bite.
