Paper Rings

This was my first dive into The New Romantics series, and honestly… I felt overwhelmed at times. The supporting cast is just as chaotic as the house they all cram into, and without having read the Langfield Brothers family series, I was definitely lost whenever multiple characters popped into a scene. There were simply a lot of people to keep track of.Nothing major stood out plot wise, but I still enjoyed the read. Addie was a total badass, though she tested my patience with how long she kept JJ in the dark. The emotional disconnect dragged on way longer than it needed to.Even though this technically works as a standalone, I’m planning to check out the Langfield Brothers series next. I feel like having the family background will make a second read smoother and probably more enjoyable.Thank you to The Author Agency and Brittanee for the opportunity to read.
