Esperava muito desse livro. O início me prendeu e eu achei que seria uma das melhores leituras que já tive. Me decepcionei. História sem nexo, e sem sentido.

Admittedly not my favorite Ali Hazelwood book. I just didn't like the constant "you're too young for me" and the mmc's minor bullying based on that fact to the fmc.
Ali did it again! I absolutely loved this one. Maya was one of my favorite side characters in Not in Love, so I was excited to read an entire book from her perspective. Maya is such a relatable character for me!I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the age gap at first, but I thought Ali handled it well. You could tell Conor was genuinely cautious and respectful. The chemistry never felt unnatural and the yearning was SO good!This may not be my favorite Ali Hazelwood book so far but I definitely enjoyed it and can see myself rereading it!
Esse livro é uma verdadeira caixinha de surpresas. Não sou muito de ler age gap, mas gosto bastante de como Ali Hazelwood explora temas que eu normalmente não leria.\n\nTambém não sou fã de quando a mulher está o tempo todo correndo atrás, implorando ou pedindo algo sem receber nada de volta. Isso é muito próximo da realidade, e acho que o que mais encanta nos livros da Ali são os homens bem escritos: obcecados de uma forma boa, não tóxica; tomando a iniciativa; sendo românticos; lutando todos os dias pela protagonista porque reconhecem suas qualidades e defeitos e as ama mesmo assim.\n\nEntão, esse livro foi bem… diferente. A Maya estava o tempo todo no controle, e eu não sei se isso é comum em age gap, mas achei cansativo. Claro, é um livro, e sabemos que ele a amava em segredo, ele fazia coisas por ela sem expor. Ele sentia, mas tinha motivos para não dar uma chance: muitos anos de diferença, traumas do passado… Dá para entender o lado dele, mas é um pouco exaustivo para uma mulher viver idealizando algo que só ""existe"" na cabeça dela. Ele a negou tantas vezes, partiu o coração dela tantas vezes com um ""não"", mesmo querendo o mesmo secretamente.\n\nMe irritei em ver a Maya se humilhando pelo Conor. Achei cansativo ela ter que provocar ciúmes para receber alguma reação dele. Ele se irritava com ela explorando possibilidades, mas nunca fazia nada para provar que realmente a queria. Isso afetou um pouco meu julgamento sobre o livro. Mas, como o próprio título diz, problemático: essa é a proposta. Apesar disso, é possível sentir a intenção do casal e o quanto eles se amam; mas, acabam se machucando. A diferença de personalidade é interessante: ele grumpy, ela sunshine. Ela manda, ele obedece. Os diálogos são divertidos, e você torce para que fiquem juntos. Gosto de como ela é encrenca, com personalidade forte, provocando demais, equilibrando alguém tão sério.\n\nGostei bastante de ver Eli e Rue; sou completamente apaixonada por eles desde Não é Amor. Ver eles felizes e construindo um futuro aquece o coração. Tivemos outras participações que também me fizeram surtar, e eu aproveitei bastante.\n\nAchei o final um pouco corrido. Acho que poderia ter acontecido a união deles um pouco antes, para desenvolver melhor e não terminar tão apressado. Mas, no geral, foi divertido, me fez rir e me permitiu matar a saudade de alguns personagens.
6/5⭐. Usually, I have a love/hate relationship with Ali Hazelwood's books. This one? Absolutely no notes.This book made me feel like I was one a holiday in Sicily. The descriptions were so vivid and so lush, it transported me to Italy in the best possible way. Enjoyed every second of it. Best part of the book, though? The banter. Perfect!
