And thus she commandeered her nephew Julian, Duke of Charlesworth into escorting the daughter of the bird-witted Mrs. Farnham to Dorsey. And as it happened the Duchess' visit to Dorsey, with the London beauty, Evelina Pride, as her companion, coincided with that of the dashing Brandon Russell. A few hints from the Duchess helped Evelina overcome her shyness--a trait quite unknown in the elder lady's personality.
