Hobbiten Frodo har fått ta över den magiska ring hans farbror Bilbo en gång vann av Gollum. Gandalf grå inser att det är den stora ringen som en gång smiddes av den onde Sauron och som styr alla andra maktens ringar.
Tillsammans med följerslagarna Sam, Merry och Pippin ger sig Frodo ut på en lång färd för att förgöra ringen i Eldsberget i Mordor. Annars kan ondskan snart komma att härska över Midgård.

Ringens Brödraskap:
Vid Alvkonungen Elronds stora råd i Riftedal bestäms att Frodo till sin hjälp ska få följeslagare från Midgårds alla goda folkslag. I ringens brödraskap ingår människorna Aragorn och Boromir, alven Legolas, dvärgen Gimli och trollkarlen Gandalf.
På sin väg över höga berg och genom djupa grottor stöter de på en balrog, orker och de hemska nazgûlerna ringryttarna. Men de får hjälp av alverna i skogsriket Lothlórien och deras drottning Galadriel.

I'll preface my rating with the fact it's probably not the books fault as much as it's mine being newer to reading. The book is very dense and can be overly descriptive at times. Some will actually really love that. The chapters are longer but it gives Tolkien time to really explain whats going on. I would suggest anyone who is into fantasy or wants to read the LOTR series to go for it. It can seem daunting at first but just stick with it. It's an incredible fun adventure and I'm excited to finish the series.
