3.5 stars Fear is a phoenix. You can watch it burn a thousand times and still it will return. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy reading Crooked Kingdom. I really loved all the characters and their development as well as their relationships and friendship dynamics. I especially enjoyed Wylan's POV the most. I've always loved Wylan's story even in Six of Crows. I also found the plot twists interesting and they caught me off guard and I found the ending satisfying ESPECIALLY WHEN INEJ AND KAZ WERE HOLDING HANDS AND INEJ REUNITING WITH HER FAMILY!!!. Here's the big BUT, BUT it was really underwhelming in terms of storyline and the major events that occurred. I found the events very lacking compared to Six of Crows which left me very satisfied, whereas Crooked Kingdom left me an overall unsatisfying impression. I loved loved loved the characters so much, but most of the storyline didn't do it for me.
4 5 stars. This was amazing. Preferred slightly over six of crows. I'm sad about the death. The way she writes what's going to happen then purposefully leaving out details as surprises, had me. Also just constantly everything going wrong but working out. I loved that.
