3.5 stars This was a solid book for a cozy weekend. I appreciated the mystery and the treasure hunt as well as the family dynamics. I really liked learning the little tidbits here and there about the indigenous culture and people. This was what mostly kept my interest. While I thought the romance was cute, and I appreciated how it was mostly low-drama, I did think things at the end were a bit rushed. Also, because this is the first book I've read from the series, I didn't know that the ending wouldn't wrap up the mystery, which was a bit of a disappointment. Overall though, I mostly enjoyed this story and will look for the next book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
