I thought it was a rather sweet and heart warming book while also still being a little spicy. The trauma that both main characters have gone through and then them going through and able to grow from it it nice.
⭐️2.25-2.5Without a doubt my least favourite book of the series, despite finding 'Spoiler Alert' and 'All The Feels' to be both middle of the road books.Considering this book as a whole, I think its premise is probably the strongest aspect, along with its body positivity rep. When compared to 'Spoiler Alert' or 'All The Feels', this book lacks the cute, romantic moments needed and found in every romance book. The pacing was alright but I can see why others would say it was all over the place. This book contains a number of group chat excerpts and panel transcripts that I found tedious and simply unfunny to read. The ongoing banter about herrings, goats and other overused bits just became increasingly stupid as the book progressed.However, my biggest issue with this book and what makes it a 2.25-2.5 star book is the conflict in the final 100 pages. I mean, what was that? Truly one of the most weirdly executed conflicts I've read in a romance book in a long time. While I understood both Peter and Maria's motivations and could see both sides, Maria, a character that is very stereotypical in the way she is written in my opinion, was I thought to be a little irrational and hasty during the third act conflict, and was not shown in an entirely positive light. Let me just say that the sheer hypocrisy and convenience of it all got me. It also didn't help that the resolution at the end felt rushed and unsatisfactory.All in all, a middle of the road series, not one that I loved or despised, and not one I believe should have continued after 'Spoiler Alert', the first book in the series, but sadly did.
