10 years ago, 2 vans full of high school students coming home from a school trip swerved off the road and into a river. Only 9 survived. On the one year anniversary, one of the survivors commits suicide, prompting the remaining survivors to make a pact to get together every year. Not really friends before the accident, still not really friends a decade later, the only thing that binds them is the trauma they all lived through… and the secrets of what really happened the day of the accident. This one was really slow and the twist wasn’t super surprising. I definitely wouldn’t consider it THRILLING. The chapters alternate between current day and the day of the accident (told through each survivor’s pov) but you don’t really get to know any of the characters well enough to care about them. The story didn’t really line up that well to me at the end.
