I loved it. there were so many times that I could relate to the main character. funny, serious, and relatable.

I loved the 2006 movie so much that I'd planned on reading the Prada series for ages. I had high hopes as well because again, the movie was so good - and the book is always better, right? In the case of The Devil Wears Prada, I feel that this isn't the case. I was extremely disappointed with the story and what was somewhat naivety and innocence initially quickly becomes a dismissal of anyone who takes the role within 'Runway' magazine and the fashion industry as a whole which grated on my nerves. I'm trying of course not to compare the two, but in the movie, Andrea isn't bitchy towards those who actively help her - but it's shown time and again throughout the book and I found myself wishing that Miranda Priestly would fire the young assistant and put us all out of our misery.
