The Gulf Stream

In an age when man has turned his face from the earth towards the mysteries of other planets, it is amazing to find that large areas of the earth's surface remain uncharted and even unexplored. Oceans cover two thirds of the earth and beneath their waters lies another land with its own cycle of live.This is the biography of one of the oceans' most fascinating phenomena, that "crazy river" the Gulf Stream, which funnels out of the Gulf of Mexico, travelling up the east coast of the USA and across the Atlantic to north-western Europe.This current has a past, a present and a future which is both interesting and exciting.
