A great mix of Roman and vampire mythology with love conquering allI have had this book on my kindle for ages after I bough it in a sale blitz . I was recommended it but my reviewer Jenni after she read the book during the release.Being a lover of vampire and myths I knew I would enjoy the story and it didn't disappoint.Monica LA Porta creates a visual backdrop of Rome and the Almalfi coast that transports you along the journey with Diana and Marcus.Oh my Marcus... Our Immortal Centurion, be still my heart!Diana I think was a bit of a tragic heroine, having had a hard life she still deep down was a honest soul, and as we get to know her as the story progresses you see the strength of character shine through.I know I will have to grab book 2 now and find out what Monica has in store for Alexander... Hopefully Marcus and Diana make an appearance as I wasn't ready to let them go.
