Veterinary Intent

From a pre-war teenage gang in Manchester, through the hills of West Wales invaded by the American First Infantry Division, Andrew Rowden survives his National Service in the ruins and black markets of post 1945 Berlin, qualifies as a vet whilst lodging in a brothel, and sustains the pressures of Devon’s brutal agricultural world to find himself in the South East of England. From snakes to dogs to women, where else would he go but a hippie community in Spain to recover from such delightful traumas?
