I enjoyed this one more than I did the first book. We learned more about the characters, which answered a lot of questions but also raised many more, especially at the end of the book! I really enjoyed learning more about the magic elements, and what it was Queen Elena wanted of Celaena. I enjoyed the action and seeing the darker side to Celaena, she is easily my favourite character so far. There's some more heartache for Celaena in this book, one of which I'm still not over! The one thing that annoyed me was the miscommunication between the characters. So many things could have been made easier if they all said what they felt/knew in full instead of holding things back. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next on Celaena's journey and what further havoc she can cause!
