The plot started really picking up here and had a lot more emotion. While the first book took a bit to get going, this one felt like we were really pushing forward in the plot. The second half of this book had so many big twists and reveals that make me so excited for book 3
I enjoyed this one more than I did the first book. We learned more about the characters, which answered a lot of questions but also raised many more, especially at the end of the book! I really enjoyed learning more about the magic elements, and what it was Queen Elena wanted of Celaena. I enjoyed the action and seeing the darker side to Celaena, she is easily my favourite character so far. There's some more heartache for Celaena in this book, one of which I'm still not over! The one thing that annoyed me was the miscommunication between the characters. So many things could have been made easier if they all said what they felt/knew in full instead of holding things back. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next on Celaena's journey and what further havoc she can cause!
Start was kinda rough but ending really made up for it. Was not expecting that.
My least favorite TOG book but still amazing
I had a hard time getting into the book. That wasn't really the books fault and more mystery own. After the halfway mark I got more into it. I'm very curious as to where to story goes next.
Loved it so much, I'll never tire to recommend this series 😍 and the end of this book, the revelation of you she really is (even though I feel you can guess it) is ICONIC !

This book was way better than the first one! I really liked it, however I'm not the biggest fan of Chaol. The ending though! I loved the ending a lot and now I really want to read Heir of Fire. Overall, I give it 3.5 stars.
OOh this series is already getting really good! I can see that its just going to get better and better! Definitely recommend to everyone!
Increíble!! Debo admitir que en libro empezó bien lento y me costó avanzar al principio, incluso se estaba poniendo un poquito aburrido, como sin novedades y todo sospechosamente tranquilo, pero apenas pasé a la segunda parte todo cambió, qué manera de quedar la escoba en un par de páginas, y eso que sólo era la mitad del libro. En el segundo tramo de la historia empezó a haber más acción y misterio, sentí muchas cosas al ver cómo se iba desarrollando todo y el final nuevamente me dejó MUY metidaaaaa. En cuanto a los personajes, siento que Dorian perdió un poco de protagonismo pero lo sigo amando como siempre, me intriga saber cómo sigue su historia. Celaena sigue siendo una protagonista admirable y de la cual pude aprender mucho más en este libro, se revelaron cosas de su pasado que me dejaron con la boca abierta. Con respeto a Chaol, que manera de empezar a querer más a un personaje para después odiarlo y de ahí empatizar un poco con él, aún no sé si me cae bien o mal, tendré que ir evaluándolo en los siguientes libros. Muy bueno! Muy recomendado
I keep saying to myself "Why have I waited this long to read this series?!" I am jumping immediately to Heir of Fire so I'll keep my review short. This book felt slightly slower than the first one, but I literally couldn't put this book down. I love when a book makes me feel emotions, love, rage, betrayal, grief. The last 10 chapter were a mind-blowing rollercoaster and I loved every single page!
