A Shot Rolling Ship

Press-ganged into King George's Navy for the second time in a month, John Pearce finds himself aboard HMS Griffin, sailing the Channel in search of the numerous French privateers preying on English merchant ships.
Life on board is far from a slow and overcrowded ship, Griffin struggles to catch her prey and the promised bounty is not forthcoming. But Pearce has greater worries. His need to rescue his ailing father from the dangers of revolutionary Paris means that he must leave the ship. By inciting mutiny he hopes to escape the ship unnoticed. But in Captain Benjamin Colbourne, Pearce discovers a man with a subtle mind who finds a way to meet Pearce's needs and convince the crew their leader has deserted.
But travelling to France, John Pearce discovers that his worst fears have become reality...all he can do now is return to the Griffin so that he can exact revenge.
